Sleep Handbook

Privacy Policy

Short version: this site does not ask you for personal information and has no accounts and no login. Advertising networks and the hosting provider may set cookies or record basic technical data, and this page explains exactly what that means.

Who we are

Sleep Handbook is an independent website that explains the "tired but can't sleep" problem in plain language and gives away a free seven-night sleep diary and tracker. You can reach us at hello@sleephandbook.com.

What this site collects from you

Nothing is required from you to read this site or to download the diary. There is no account, no sign-up, no comment system and no contact form. The diary is a static file: when you print or download it, that happens on your own device, and the entries you write into it are never sent to us.

Advertising

This site may display advertising served by third-party ad networks. Those networks may use cookies, web beacons or similar technologies to show ads, to limit how often you see the same ad, and to measure how ads perform. Some networks may use information about your visits to this and other websites in order to show advertising about goods and services that may interest you.

We do not control the cookies that third-party advertising networks set, and we do not receive the personal data they hold. You can learn about and opt out of personalised advertising from many providers at aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.com. You can also control cookies through your own browser settings, including blocking third-party cookies entirely.

Analytics

This site does not currently run an analytics product, so there is no analytics cookie to describe. If that changes, this page will be updated.

Server logs

Like almost every website, the hosting provider that serves this site may record basic technical information about requests, such as the IP address, the browser user agent and the time of the request. This is the standard operation of a web server, and it is used to keep the site working and secure.

Third-party links

Some pages may link to other websites. Once you follow such a link, that site's own privacy policy applies, not this one.

Children

This site is written for a general adult audience and is not directed at children.

Your choices

Because we do not collect personal information about you, there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf. To limit advertising cookies, use the opt-out links above and your browser's own cookie controls.
